Hi all,
Could you recommend a really good saddle fitter in the East Midlands / Four Counties border. We're situated between Tamworth and Ashby de la Zouch.
I need a new saddle for general use as mine is a touch tight on my boy as he's filling out now he's in regular work and changing shape all the time.
I would like someone that could bring a number of saddles (new/ second hand) to try on him but also who could potentially reflock one of our existing ones.
Any recommendations??

As no-one has recommended anyone yet, I do cover that area and can help with new and with flock adjustments on existing saddles, but not so much with used saddles. Let me know if you'd like more info etc by pm.

Well. Andy at Milners is good, but not heard such good things about the women who's there? when you book you can ask for someone specifically though. They do come out, but is better if you can take your horse there as then you can try all of their stock. I would say best to go to them if you know you want a new/second hand saddle, but would use Roger Whitehead for reflocking or checking the fit of existing saddles. Roger also has second hand saddles, but don't think he does new ones?? not sure.
Milners might be too far for you though, but think Roger covers your area?

George at Dosthill Saddlery, Staffs. Brilliant master saddle fitter and they cover your area---sorry but can`t recommend Milners, very expensive and rather a lot of mistakes.

don't know if they are that expensive. got a brand new ideal saddle from them for much cheaper than on the ideal website. But would definitely advise to ask for Andy. all the bad things I've heard have been to do with the women there.
