ive just bought a clicker training book ;D just fancied trying something different with the ponies.
just wondered if anybody eles had tried it and what are your experiences good /bad. thanks

I have never tried it myself but I would imagine you have to be very consistant with it or you will not get very good results

clicker training is for dogs.. simples. dont know anything about clicker training but it involves food and treats also?? bad when training horses

have used in the past intesnively on a very difficult mare and yes it works BUT it is very time consuming - got the book and even went on a rather expensive course once - it didn't solve all the problems BUT it did make me able to handle most of them - however if you are just doing it for a bit of fun / different then go ahead but remember timing is the key

I've never used it myself, but a friend of mine who has very well trained dogs used it to train her horse to pick his feet up for when she picked them out, she had great results.
