Hi all, This is Brackenspa Potter, he is 2 in May and currently stands 16.1 with 10" of bone. Moves beautifully and straight. I've never shown coloureds before and have no idea what classes are out thre, anyone have any ideas what to show him as!? Not terribly ambitious as he was bought to do a bit of everything.

He looks nice - have you any photos of his other side so we can see all his markings and maybe one of his face?

trying to find other side photos...
He will end up about 17.2 - isn't he going to be too big for maxi cob?

this is the only pic i could find of other side - taken when he was about 8 months. I know he isn't well marked, but i like him as a horse irrespective of his colour!

Gosh he is huge! Nice strong and sturdy type, I bet he would be a nice hunter :-) what's his breeding?

He is by a stallion called Resident Gypsy, who is sabino 15.2 ID X Hackney, out of an ISH mare 16.1 coloured. he is a big lad bless him, but a temperament to die for! this is Dad; mum; and potter as a 2 wk old baby;

He's VERY nice, I'd have him trimmed and plaited and in the hunter classes!

I agree, Milliesmum I don't think he's thickset enough to take in maxicob classes (could be wrong though)

He is very nice and solid but too big and too long in leg for a maxi cob. Trim and plait his as a hunter.
He can do classes with the bspa and chaps. Both have websites. He would be in the non native exc 153cms when ridden. At the minute you can do young stock classes with him. Trim his legs and pull his tail and plait him up. Show him in a nice smart plain brown in hand bridle with a flat noseband.
That would be my advice, however I show coloured traditionals not p,alters, pmsl, but am sure someone off here who shows big plaiteds will keep you right!
Daddy is lovely
