Can anyone suggest a pelham for a large hack/pba who draws her tongue back? She goes well in a snaffle has gained 17 bd points recently . A snaffle is not an option for showing as she's not a novice. She gets her tongue between the bits in a double.

i have my 15'2hh show horse in a port mouth pelham! he goes beautiful in it! i keep getting told he ''should'' be in a double but he just has too much of a small mouth for a double! he does the same thing with his tongue and he really goes well in the port mouth pelham! good luck!

Only thing I'd say with the ported pelhams is be careful - my boy rolls his tongue ( a bit like a cow, strange creature) and got it stuck once right up in the port and it terrified him. If she has caught her tonguein a double, just be careful. Make sure the noseband is real tight

A jointed pelham ? If she is good in a snaffle this may be a good option as the mouth piece will feel the same
