Happy to help
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his Tongue.

Last week I gave my dogs some large knuckle bones as a treat. I almost never give them these and this time I had a disaster. One of my dogs didn't just lick and chew it, she ate it This resulted in 3 days at the vets and narrowly escaping surgery. Luckily she passed them through even though some were large pieces and one very sharp piece which could have easily perforated her bowel. Never ever again will I give my dogs these bones. Hope this gives you all some information on the damage they can do. I am really lucky to still have her with me.

I second that we haven't fed these for some years now our Dobermann Lucy (RIP) swallowed a knuckle whole and it got stuck on her diaphragm which resulted in surgery up through her stomach and out the opening into her oesphagus. She made a full recovery and had a happy full life without knuckle bones!! Needless to say none of our other dogs have had a bone of any sort since - with the exception of hide chews!!
