I went all the way to Builth Wells Sale on Saturday, interested in a pony entered and completely wasted my time and money and also other people in my family's time. The pony had a lot of publicity/ photos on facebook in the days before the sale, saying how great it was and that it would definitely be there with a low reserve. And guess what? When I arrived at the stable, the vendor told me the pony wasn't there as it had been sold!
I guess you live and learn, but I thought it was downright rude! What is anyone else's opinion of this? Is this to be expected in the world of pony sales?

In this market, if someone offered them the money they wanted I can't see why they should risk taking it to the sales and it may not sell? They should have put it on facebook though that it had been sold if they were advertising it on there

I've had similar. Found a saddle arranged to go and see (over an hour away), it before I brought it. Vendor rang me and changed date. Turned up on Sunday as agreed, with cash if suitable. No one was at home, tried to ring and she cut me off. Waited about 20ins after call in case she was driving. Thanks for nothing. What has happened to common courtsey.
