Our lead rein pony has started pulling the reins through my daughters hands when in the ring. He starts as soon as we go in the class, he stretches down or up to loosen the contact. She is very small and does not have the strength to hold the reins when he pulls. We have moved her knots back but he then goes round with his nose in the air. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Presume you have done all the usual checks - back, teeth etc? Maybe a softer bit would help? How old is he, and how long has he been doing LR?

I always worked my lead rein ponies in side reins so they didnt develop the habit of snatching reins from tiny riders, they were taken off for the ring.

i do agree with side reins to a certain extent for tiddly jockeys and schooling to prevent the habit but not constantly,
I think maybe a bit change, i like the magic bits ( cambridge snaffles) its very hard with lead rein ponies, schooling has to be very different especially for tiddlers that cant really help you or get the legs on, a magic bit rather than a jointed does give the pony a little bit of something to lean on and has less movement, which may see them more settled maybe,
Just my suggestion, for when little legs cant wrap around to ride the pony into the bridle, but when using side reins they should be fitted not to strap in the head just to prevent snatching, and i must admit my own lead rein pony has never gone with head on chest falsley, this i hate to see, but with a comfortable, still head carraige.
