Annoying isn't it, mine is always pulling fronts! I've resolved to leaving her in overreach boots at all times when she's out her stable

I just wondered if your farrier was leaving the shoe a little long at the heel, I used to have this problem with a short coupled cob mare who just used to tread on them and pull them off. It wouldn't have happened if she had been a little longer in the back.

Its a front one.
MM - he's a greedy pig and paws and climbs the fence for the longer grass on the other side.....pulling his shoes off in the process!!!!

Who is your farrier? I would consider looking for a different farrier My mare used to constantly pull her front shoes off, I would be lucky if she could keep her shoes on for more than two days after being shod, I changed my farrier, touch wood since then she has never lost a shoe, and thats been 4 years now!! Apparently my old farrier was using old nail holes to attach the shoes which meant they werent being held on probably and the hoof was getting weak

Err padlocks?! Not helpful, I know you may jest but my farrier was telling me the last time he came about bolt on plastic shields for turnout to stop the shoes being pulled off.

What a little monkey lol, how about strong ducktape wrapped round the back of his shoes, just wrap it round his whole hoof a couple of times. Or connect your electric fencing to the nearest pylon lol ;D
