my riding horse has a tendancy to throw in a bronc when doing the extension in his individual show. he never does it at home and doesnt matter how much he is worked in sometimes he will bronc (only once but its enough to get him placed down after a foot perfect show ) which is better to extend and maybe get a bronc or not to extend at all

Difficult one as if you don't extend then your not doing what is required and will be marked down anyway, i'd go for extend and try to keep the bronc as minimal as poss. I'm sure it's just excitment and some judges won't be too bothered.

Been through this with mine. Work out what is causing the bronc - my trainer came to watch and promptly saw that come the gallop I threw my reins at the (young) lad and not only did he think a little eye-ha but I took him completely out of balance and the bronc was In response That's this body though, bucks are his thing if gets unbalanced or confused. Worth considering though??
