Perhaps its about time that there was a caravan park at HoYs! Obviously a bit tricky to pitch a tent on tarmac.....The hotels are fully booked from one year to the next (except the most costly) - mostly by the HoYs organisers!

It is definitely possible to have caravans at NEC, for the caravan show in February the caravan club run a temporary camp site at the NEC for the duration, so the facilities must be there. Maybe worth writing to the organisers?

i know not quite the hilton, but if you go on www.travelodge.co.uk, and search hotels near N.E.C for the night you want they will bring up a list of available hotels there distance from the N.E.C and the price.. which is rather low.. found some starting from £29 PER ROOM. aound 6 miles away. May be worth a look.. never styed in one but have looked into doing for wednesday night. and rates seem really cheap. not sure what to expect for this but since would ony be staying over so i can drink champers, during the day lol i though would prob be ok.. hope you find something.

Found a B&B only 3 stops away, full English £40 single room and also got myself free bus passes from the Bus Co, so no expensive parking fees either!!

We are still able to offer one stable (with turnout if required) - and my parents do b and b (with lorry parking) but no stabling at very reasonable price just ten miles from NEC. www.northleigh.co.uk - or in Good Hotel Guide 2008 (plus lots other awards!!).

We got in at the Premier Travel Inn at the NEC, one of the last rooms booked, last week, it's convenient because you get free parking and it's not too dear to go in a taxi so you can have a drink at the show and saves on show parking fees. I think they still had one or two rooms available then,

We used to think that as well, but the rooms are so easy to sell on as there are always so many people wanting rooms! Also, as people have until noon to release any rooms they do not want this means that generally you should be able to pick one up on the day (although that is leaving it a bit to chance!)
