Just spoken with a friend who is very upset. Has a lovely genuine young mare for sale.Someone came to try her and she was foot perfect even though child not brilliant. They asked her to hire an indoor school to try her in again and they would come with money, trailer and instructor. She hired the school and they turn up, no trailer, no money but the instructor. Again the pony was foot perfect, they said thanks v much we'll ring you. That was last weekend! Not a peep! Welcome to the dire world of selling ponies and rude ignoramouses who don't deserve the time of day.

dont forget people really want real horses or ponies that work like robots if not no good, they need flashing lights on them for the "sparkle" and god knows what else if you havent got that then you are doomed!

Honestly I'm on the other side to this and I can stay this side is just as bad! I have travelled around the country looking for a horse, I'm not expecting a foot perfect horse just a decent well rounded horse. But I have come to find is - Horses with tails missing, where in pictures was there, and owners saying 'oh we just decided he'd look better with it off!' Horses that are incredibly lame, its quite insulting that these owners assume I wont recognise a lame horse! Horses where their height and age suddenly change on the day of viewing. Horses which are completely different to the pictures and videos sent, meaning I go to see I think a black horse and the owners try and blag a bright bay horse, saying in the videos must have come up dark. I mean I'm at my whits end, I try my very hardest to whittle out these time wasters, spending ages on the phone discussing precisely what I'm looking for and deciding that this time this is the horse for me, only to be disappointed when everything has been a lie! Sorry, rant over, I'm just a bit fed up!

I can relate to both sides , I really think it's pointless for both party's if the pony you are viewing is nothing like it's described , all that wasted fuel and time on both parts !!! Time wasters ! I had a right one 2 yrs ago when selling my d mare , I was very upset and more so as I was willing to let her go to these idiots , thankfully she went to a fab home :-) in the end , it's very upsetting to sell a pony I think especially if it's the only thing you can do to acquire another :-( , please take note ppl when thinking of time wasting again !!!
