Just noticed today my Woodle bit*h is swollen, licking, and has a clear /pale pink discharge... She is very irregular with her seasons, could anyone advise me as to when is best to put her to the stud dog, from today??? I'm really confused about stages etc She is a fit, vibrant super healthy girl, we did have one litter from her 2 yrs ago, but we struggled to get her to tye, and she wasn't the best mum.. So we decided to leave her for a good while and now would like to give her another try.. If this time goes the same way then we will have her spayed, she is such a fab little lady, I would just love one good healthy litter

What is a Woodle? LOL must be misprint. Personally if she wasnt a great Mum then maybe she wont be a great Mum now. If you want a pup why not just go and buy what you are looking for. Sadly there are so many unwanted dogs out there as it is you could probably fomd your ideal new family member easily rather than breed a litter and " hope for the best" Rescue centres are overloaded with all types of dogs and you could offer a home to one of these maybe.

Colourful, a woodle, not a misprint is a miniature poodle and a west highland cross..
They are an absolute delight, I don't think you got the point of my post, I don't want a puppy, I want to breed a litter, not to make money or to over breed, we own an animal feeds company and many of our customers have shown interest in our girls .
I put the fact that Lola wasn't the best mum purely down to her age. We did home our puppies to customers, and see them most weeks...
Because this was over 2 yrs ago, and I'm getting old and possibly more forgetful I couldn't 100% remember the procedure.
My girls, we have 2, are fabulous, friendly, fluffy and gorgeous , and I would like other people to have the immense pleasure that they bring to me...
So if you can offer some advice as to how many days etc that would really help..
Hope that makes it a bit clearer....

She will start the first week of her season with a pinkish discharge, it will then turn to blood she will swell up. At approx 10 days her discharge will change colour to a browny tinge, and of you rub the base of her tail on her back she should stand for you by putting her tail to one side , you should be able to mate her during day 8/12 . Personally I wouldnt breed from her.

Thank you for the information, just wondering why you wouldn't breed from her... She is a fit healthy girl??

Thank you for the information, just wondering why you wouldn't breed from her... She is a fit healthy girl?? because theres already tons of crossbred dogs in rescue centres being put down daily....and your just adding to them any health tests relevent to both breeds your using? which to me - if you ARE going to breed, you should be health testing both parents (i dont mean a vet check!), i dont know what westie/poodle health checks are but that may be your first point of call.
