I have about 70 friends on facebook, a very small amount by some standards!!!! However, only people I tend to talk to or make comments to are my friends that I see daily at the yard and my children who all live with me!!!!!! Pretty pointless having it!!!! I do see a lot of bit*hiness on it and makes me giggle when you see a comment that someone you know has made and you know that they would never have the balls to say it to the persons face!!!!! Can be very annoying having my phone constantly beeping to tell me I have yet another uninteresting facebook notification, must feel quite liberating to delete your account!!!!!!

Rachnria said she deleted her personal facebook page, the link is for her family stud page It was a jokey comment, hence the smiley ;D Haha, sorry, it's hard to tell online what's jokey or not, even when there are smileys! I don't seem to have any trouble with FB, but I have known it to cause trouble for other people. I think like many people have said, if you use it purely for socialising with your real friends and have your security settings adjusting accordingly you can eradicate the trouble quite easily

I like facebook, it can be good for networking and catching up with REAL friends!! But The trouble is that I can smell Bull sh*t a mile off and there are more than one or two deluded numptys that have launched themselves as studs, producers, livery yards and the like, when they havent got a clue how to feed and look after their own ponies nor do they have a pot to p*ss in some don't even have their own transport or own a yard! It leads to problems when other 'newbie' horse owners start to listen to their word as gospel and give them business and dont even go and visit these places. Do they realise their animals are going to some ramshackle shed in the back of beyond with no proper care and attention!! Its like kids playing stables with breyer ponies but in this case theres real animals involved!!

I hate facebook, largely due to the fact that we have two teenagers who live on it and hurry home to check their farm???!!!!
I understand the benefit of keeping in touch with distant friends and relatives but personally I'd rather pick up the phone and chat than wiffle through loads of friend requests and 'likes' from people I dont really know.
I did try it....but failed miserably and came away feeling like a techno dinosaur!

i must add that i dont have a 'pot to pee in' so to speak, and my yard im sure does resemble a ramshackle shed in the back of beyond! but my ponies are well looked after!!! that would be the reason i dont have a pot to pee in lol. but no i dont advertise myself as anything and have horses because i enjoy them not to try and make a living x

I have never done facebook. However, if you don't like it there is a very simple answer! Just the same as those who cannot stay off horsegossip but love to go around saying how awful it is.

I'm on the band of people that are addicted to the d**ned thing! So as of tomorrow morning I will only look at FB once a day - at the end of the day when I have finished everything I have to do! I wonder how long it will last ...
