why on earth do people find the need to busy themselves with other peoples lives, other peoples horses, other peoples dealings, other peoples kids, other peoples way of doing things! WHO CARES? ?? if you dont like the way they do there ponies who cares? if you dont like the way they ride there horse who cares? most of them are the people that regularly go out and stand bottom of the line and then eye up there rivals facebook pictures and try to publicly humiliate them for doing something trivial like feeding a polo WHO CARES I DONT AND IM SICK OF IT! btw none of this has anything to do with me either im just sick of getting 5 million notifications a day cos the next door neighbours horses brothers pet goat has been seen riding a pony too big for them aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgh i think i should delete bit*hbook!!

I like facebook for keeping in touch with folk I don't get to see etc etc. However, I don't need to know people's every move either! My OH's sister posted about her childs inability to go to the loo, far too much info and I thought it was awful! Unfortunately I cannot defriend her

lol i love facebook for sharing, seeing what everyone else has been up to, talking to old school friends that have all moved away etc, sharing peoples weddings, births etc etc. it is also useful for selling a horse or selling a saddle etc but why on earth someone would comment on someone elses ad on a horse someone is interested in saying something along the lines of my friends sister said she spoke to the old loaners mum once and its really bad and the sellers a liar and the ................................................. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

all facebook does it cause trouble! one it catches out bad people that lie as they arent intellignet enough to turn the privacy settings on, 2) it causes sh1t for genuine people because some other nosey jealous bugger wants to stick there oar in 3) people use it to publicly mug someone off thats annoyed them over something trivial 4) it gives me a bloody great big headache!

I love facebook. It only becomes b*tchy if you let it. I only have friends on there that I actually know or that I chat with very regularly on here. I NEVER add strangers or people that I don't know well. Also I have my settings so that only my friends can see and comment on my status updates and photo's. It will only start becoming b*tchy if your settings allow friends of friends or the general public to view and comment on your page.

I must admit I love Facebook, I use it to keep in touch with friends and basically have a toot - what else is it there for? I always use it for friends' birthdays - I have an awful memory!! Obviously people use it to find out things and be nosy, because you give personal information away on there! However it is turning into more b*tching because people can hide behind a computer - "keyboard warriors" ... It is funny to read arguments on there though ;D some pathetic vulgar people, and many are members on here and also feel the need to bring b*tching onto HG too!

I totally agree, I only accept friend requests from true friends, and if there is any sign of trouble I block the person, my privacy settings are high so that only people I want to view my profile can

There are some good interesting groups etc on FB and I do belong to a couple but if they start to get nasty or b*tchy then I just delete them. Im simply not interested in b*itchiness and back stabbing and certainly have no interest in reading about it!!!

Facebook is what you make of it. Take control of who sees your updates, and whose updates you see. I'm pretty ruthless at ditching people from mine, and my privacy settings allow only friends to see updates. Everyone on my FB list is there because I am interested in their lives / kids / ponies or they post interesting and knowledgeable statuses or responses to mine. And in every case they're only there if I'm happy for them to see what I post.

I have a rule that if i add you and you don't contribute anything to my day then after 1 month i press the delete button Love it!! I tend to only have friends or at the very least people I know or see regularly at shows on my facebook. A friend of mine has all and sundry on hers including people who she sees at shows and who completely ignore her!! I don't get that? How can they be 'facebook friends' but not even know who she is? Call me old fashioned but I'd rather people on my facebook actually know who I am. And my privacy settings are locked down (mainly cos I'm a nurse) so only my friends can see my profile

I tend to use if mainly for keeping in touch with people I dont see that often and for pictures, I love seeing other peoples photos!
I've recently removed myself from a group (wont name it) that was for local riders in my area. Most of the posts on there were people slagging off other people in the area, moaning about shows, judges, instructors and other professionals. It was intended to be a forum to assist people who had questions or needed help with something. Couldnt bare the back stabbing etc! People seem to be much worse online, less chance of coming face to face with the person they are whinging about I suppose....
