We breed old fashioned sec b's with good solid bone and usually the only ones in the class with a old stamp of a pony!

i dont no if anyone else has found that the B's had been gettin finer by the year, but this year seem to be the old fashion types again. (which is good as mine is a old fashion stamp) haha

Old fashioned type with bone. I also like B's to move. I know how the B people feel, I have this with my very chunky SHP!!

how old fashioned a type do you want to go back to, I think the B's are one of the most changed in type of all the welsh breeds, I can remember back in the 70's and 80's when the B's were plaited for the welsh classes and would come out of the breed ring and compete in the 12.2 riding pony classes and win. going back further they could be quite course with very plain heads, in my opinion the ponies that are being bred today are a lot better, combining quality, size and bone.

When I was the right age I plaited my B up to do shp classes and did very well in RIHS and HOYS qualifieds and just missed out qualifing for both, but then the other B's were quite fine and he never did very well in the RIHS and HOYS classes. Now we r finding the stocky type are comin back into fashion and he's doing much better and gettin great conf. Marks.
