Have been looking forward to seeing the pics of our fell at cheshire county but honestly, the size and quality of the proofs is unbelieveably poor, and YES I do understand that people are taking advantage and copying to facebook etc.. but surely anyone genuinely wanting to buy a picture is unable to even tell if it's their pony - let alone decide which to buy... How they expect to sell many pics is beyond me.. Come on Equinational... I have bought many pics from you in the past and would hope to do so again, but unless you buy on the day.. (and this is often not possible) I don't see how we can from the sub-standard proofs you are now publishing!!!!

My thoughts exactly, unfortunately equinational have got a bit above themselves........... at Cheshire the man in the arab ring (in hand) told a friend he was going to sue her for taking pics of her horse at the show. She asked him to point out where it states that you can't take your own pictures?? He was that busy threatening her he missed half the class!!!!!

Bow1607 that is disgusting!!! I would have made a complaint! I can't believe they would say you can't take your own pictures!!!

I was just about to post about this! I could only tell it was me because of the colour of my jacket, I couldn't distinguish my friend in her class at all! There is no way I am going to spend £20 on a print when I can't see it!

couldnt agree more - these people who do steal pic for facebook have no intentions whatsoever of buying the picture anyway so if anything i think they are going to lose more buisness by reducing the quality and size of the proofs as i also was going to buy a picture and so was my friend but we just cant see if we like them so their loss!

The last picture i ordered from them was totally fuzzy! Is a terrible picture and it cost me £16, i ordered it after seeing the proof online. It looked ok online but once i got the picture i was gutted . Have to say i probably wont order from them again (especially online!), it would of been nice if they had mentioned the fact that the picture wasnt the best quality as there were others i could of had instead.

I see what they mean.. It was so easy to just use the pictures on Facebook etc and that is wrong but as the comments above say: how are you supposed to choose a picture to actually buy if you can't tell who is who!?!? We rarely get photos from shows as the ques are so long and it takes forever when we have other things to get done so we buy them of the internet but it's so, so hard to now - you may choose a picture that looks great small and fuzzy but when printed it's awful and you have payed more than the class entry fee, there is nothing you can do. I think a lot of customers will be lost.

Well thankyou bow for ruining my day . Had looked at the ( admittedly tiny/fuzzy ) proofs of Cheshire , found my pony in a sea of yellow duns , and was just admiring how svelte I looked , how well my jacket fitted and how much my position had improved . Went back on today to order - and yes , it's a different rider/pony combo and I still look like a dumpy granny who got lost on a pony trek.

i have to agree they are ridiculously expensive - if they charged less more would buy and i am sure they would make more profit! sometimes the reason people steal a pic is because itsnot quite worth 19 pound but its still good enough to show your friends on fb! seriously i wont be paying 19 pound for any picunless its an absolute cracker! but i would none the less pay 19 pound for 3 small ones that were just ok! ink and paper cant be that expensive surely lol! and i know they have to pay the photographers etc but i know lots more people would buy if they were cheaper! if alton towers can get away with charging 6 pound a pic then i am sorry so can these! just my opinion tho before i get attacked lol

well hats off to them, they have emailed me back and have improved there proofs..... still not brilliant but miles better! if they are improved i dread to think what they were like before! Im trying to get into photography and know how frustrating it must be to spend an entire day at a show for people to steal photos, maybe equinational should take 'spidge's approach where the quality is still good enough so you can still see the photo enough to see if you like it but not much use to show on facebook www.everybodysmile.biz/cgi-bin/public.cgi?form_status=Cover&Id=155720

I have "friends" with whole albums of watermarked photos - I do like his comment "essentially the same as shoplifting" though ;D I don't have mine heavily watermarked now - just a banner that says "please do not steal" I didn't think it was very subtle but it does seem to be too subtle for some!!
