what bits should i use to start my hunter off in a double ?? she is in a hanging cheek snaffle and is very strong although is being tackled with schooling she is going to a show within the next couple of months so what do people reccomend to start them off ?

I would not use a double bridle until a horse is correctly schooled in a snaffle unless a double is required for safety and brakes (ie hunting etc)
Personally I would start with neue schule and the slimest bits available. However it does depend on the horse's mouth conformation.
Are you able to borrow any to try?

i am looking for a cheap one at the moment, i have an advert up on here as noone on my yard has one, he schooling has come along massively, which is the reason i want to get her out and doing things. we have successfully been out and competed prelim dressage in our snaffle getting third in a very competitive class a few people have said just put her in a loose ring snaffle and a weymouth to start but i feel the weymouth looks a bit chunky for her mouth , can you get them in different sizes ? i have tried her in a pellam but she just leaned against that
