I have seen a lot on here of people having problems with complete timewasters contacting them when they are selling/loaning a horse or pony. I am having exactly this problem! I have advertised my pony for loan, the advert has full information on him and the cost of the loan, it also states quite clearly that he "MUST STAY ON PRESENT YARD". Despite this I am still having people contact me asking to move him/buy him or saying "I was only looking to pay £5 per day". This is really frustating me as all this information is clearly stated on the advert!!! Sorry but felt I had to vent my frustrations!

I feel your pain, when I advertised my horse back in October I had every bit of info on there including height/price/location/4 pictures and 3 videos plus no loans at the bottom. I got inundated with people asking for more pics, pictures of him ridden (he was unbacked and clearly stated in advert) more videos, would I loan...... the list was endless. Sold him to someone who rang me, came out Thursday night , picked him up Friday morning! Never want to go through it again!

It is just so irritating! I have now started replying to such silly enquries with "please read the advert properly" a little harsh maybe but I am just so sick of these people. If he is out of your price range or too far away do not reply to the ad!!

A pet hate of mine too A good advert should weed out the tyre kickers but it doesnt. I suppose I have given up now and will probably let my beautiful talented pony be a lawn mower the rest of her days sad as she is only 6

Then a polite email asking the price is only fair, and obviously would not justify that response if the price wasn't given in the ad. I think kirsten91 was referring to queries that ARE answered in the ad. Dare I say "read the thread"?

But then I have seen people on here complain they have asked a seller if they would loan and the seller has then been rude and the number of people that say carry on asking. I wouldn't even reply if I were you.

the thing that annoys me more than anything is endless backwards and forwarding of messages and emails when the telephone number is on add ? if u are serious then call a 5 min call is by far easier and less comsuming of everybodys valuable time than all these em's and messages !!!!!!

But what about when there is absolutely no information in the advert You put an advert up yesterday with nothing in it apart from the words 'all top drawer youngster' how can you not expect to get timewasters?

Honestly, what is going on with people! It is working both ways really, there are people selling/loaning out horses and ponies and putting very little information on the advert so are going to get all these enquiries but then people like myself including all information and people are still not taking a blind bit of notice to it! You just can't win ;D
