That's fab. Sounds like you're heading the right way. I found asking once with one light nudge, if no response a harder, but sharp kick. Then take the leg off again immediately, if still no response then a sharp flick behind the leg from the schooling whip. Rewarding the forward, by stopping asking for forward, so leg lies quietly against their side and no niggling.
If they try to stop or slow down out of rhythm, repeat. You have to make sure you're not nagging though, brain's will switch off to that.
It will be very useful for you, especially if you've got weak legs by your own admission.

I am a nagger I do admit but see how my younger pony is so much more forward and this helps my leg so I definately need to transfer this to the big lad and not accept his bumbling along lol.

I am too Has taken a long time to train myself out of it. I still find myself doing it sometimes...! It takes a really conscious effort. Sounds like you're heading in the right direction Keep us posted on how you do ;D
