Just a word of warning the NPS late entry fees are £75.00 per hoys class. Have they not heard of a recession, no joke.

Still it is alot! For all the planning we do sometimes it is easier to enter on the day in case something goes wrong, or we end up with the 'paddy fields' we had in parts of the country in june and early this month.

NPS website states that if you are entering HOYS classes on the day you will need to have completed HOYS entry form to hand in at the time of entry.

As I put on different post I was going to go but no way would I pay £75 I think it is disgusting. I thought that as numbers are down that show secs would try to encourage more entries. No way would I pay that, if I was a member I wouldn't pay £60 either.
I can't always get entries in before closing dates as never sure about work so it's great if shows will take late entries but not at sure large fees.

but most county shows who hold HOYS qualifiers dont allow enteries on the day, enter in good time to avoid late entry fee if thats the case

I understand royal & county shows have catalogues & it would b hard to take entries on the day at those type of shows, but when shows who hold hoys qual on the day are willing to take entries on the day an Xtra amount is fine but I would say a max of £10 Xtra would b accaptable.any more I think is not.i hav seen this frm all sides as helping to organise a show to judging &competing. People who hav novices who may not b ready in time or people with work committments welcome on the day entries but not for an excessive fee. I think the pursuit of hoys tickets is becoming more costly &beyond the reach of many "hobby" riders with full time jobs. B 4 U all shout yes I hav qual few for hoys over the years but it has lost its appeal 4, me this yr with all the costs involved. I hav had great wins at gd county shows instead &,they do giv gd prize money & a nice day out!

Well, I had considered travelling to NPS this week for the plaited Hoys whp qualifier with a pony/jockey combination that at the time the entries closed were not in my opinion ready to jump the track - now however, I would be willing to let them have a go but not at £75 - we will be staying at home!
