My my putcat is 10 months old, and goes out mainly at night (dirty stop out) how offten should he be wormed and defleeded.
And can someone suggest a new little bundle of fur to sleep on my pillow, miss him at nights, nothing attacting me any more except at 2AM when he reapears for a short time.
And what is the best stuff to use so far have used front line from the vet and and the vet has wormed him, is this the best option or can i buy the stuff my self.
Novice putcat owner all advice appreciated

Another vote for frontline, but don't buy it from the vet, are there any pharmacies locally that do animal medications, usually a lot cheaper, or Manor Pharmacy do it on line. The packaging will tell you how often to use, but generally more often in summer cos there are more fleas! Also you need to de-flea the bedding and carpets etc, as they can live through the winter in soft furnishings etc. and just hop on and off passing cat to feed! Recommend Nuvan staykil for this, big yellow can about £15, leaves a residue and you just use it once a year. V. Smelly though!
Wormer, if he's out hunting and killing stuff, you need to be on top of the worming, again you can buy the one the vet uses cheaper elsewhere, but I always used Panacur granules as you can mix them in with food if cat isn't easy to get pills down!

The doggy frontline lasts three months, not sure if the cat one is the same? Wormer I would say 6 to 8 weeks but I think different brands vary, so you would need to check the packaging.

i think they need worming (recommend drontal) every three months especially if he goes out and flea treatment every 6-8 weeks (frontline) you can now buy these from pets at home,or vet or any good pet shop but make sure you get thee weight of your cat
i now have 3 cats a 1yr old female and an 8 week old female and a 9 week old male they all sleep in my bed as well as O/H but all my cats are house cats after chilli was run over, if you are looking for a new bundle to keep you company whilst jj is out the cats protection leauge are over run with kittens x good luck
