Is there any way that a time limit could be put on the posts on that section? It goes back to Sept. 2006! Or perhaps a limit on the number of pages so that the older posts will "fall of the end"?

A time limit may be best. I will see what I can do.

Could everyone be encouraged to remove their post once the pony is sold? That way no-one spends time looking through details of a pony that turns out to be already sold!!

Can anything be done about the amount of "For sale" ads that are still on but have a sold posting at the end? Its really annoying! Maybe they could be deleted so that only ponies still for sale are in that section? Yes I do have a pony on there for sale and no, little interest so maybe I'm just disgruntled and bitter!!!!!!! But I am also looking for another pony so would like everything to be tidy!! I am a Virgo after all!!!! ;D

Realistically the mods cant read every single post so if you have a pony that's sold, then please PM us to remove the post.
If you delete the original advert, the thread will not be deleted if you've had replies - leaving a load of responses and no advert!

Personally, I would rather the adverts were locked once horse is sold so there is a trace to the original advert in case it is ever required in the future.

I thought we could do with making sub sections under the horses for sale i.e welsh section a, Arab, colored etc, thought it might help people who no what they are looking for and like to be able to find it, and the there wouldn't be as many under one section. Just an idea

I don't know what others think, but for me, we would have to make an awful lot of sections to cover everything! It's possible to use the search facility to look for the type you want in the section you want, which might make it easier for people. For instance you could search in ponies for sale and ponies for loan, for welsh section a, over the last 180 days (6 months), and ask for say 50 results.
ETA: Just had a go to see what came up, only problem is all the sections come up together as it won't accept the 'a' as a word. But you could always add LR or FR to the search box to make it easier.

why not have for e.g. native section.. hunter/show pony section.. LR/FR section.. part bred section.. things like that you wouldnt need as many sections if you add some together. Think its a better idea than searching through to find what you want

Think its a better idea than searching through to find what you want Ye it would make perfect sense. Easier to find what you want keep track of how long they have been up for.

This is a chat forum and I think we could end up with more sub sections in the for sale bit than the main chat areas.
