Has anyone any tips or ideas how i can get my fitness back in the saddle after having a year or two out? I rode last week for an hour and wow i couldn't walk all week, my inner thighs were killing me, and i felt like i was sticking my bum out to ride, I feel so out of shape and i used to ride well but the new horse has a big stride and is totally different to cobs i am used to riding, I just want to be able to get on and school again effectively...

Wii fit. It has helped me with balance and flexibilty.

Will it not be better to ride more often for shorter periods of time? By getting on and riding for an hour is throwing yourself in at the deep end! ;D
