Poor you that sounds like a nightmare I don't think I could stick it there long either. Why would the owner listen to the comments of someone he calls mad mary anyway!

Her concerns sound totally unnecessary but maybe she will start to see that you do know what you are doing and back off a bit...? Ok its a slim hope but it could happen!!! Grin and bear it and get the f*** out!

Think you need to get grazing nearer to home as it must be a nightmare checking on them. If you are not able to check them twice daily I think I would be a concerned neighbour as well. I must be reading it incorrectly but it sounds like you haven't visited for five days and that might make concerned neighbours highly vigilent.

friend lives nearby an walks past field daily so checks on them for me, also field is owned by a garden centre so the lads there watch them all day 9-5 7 days a week! Eta - I would never leave my ponies for 5 days without checking them!
