Thing it out at the top so its neat, them Oster rakes are the best. Then using thinning scissors shape the bottom so it gradually goes to a point, should be just on or a bit below their hocks but some people like them above the hocks and really short.

I DO THE SIDES AT THE TOP AND THIN BOTTOM OUT WITH IT TOOO!!!!
QUITE CHEAP ABOUT £15.00 AND EASY TO USE WITH GREAT RESULTS.
CAN USE THEM ON MANES TOO.
