I'm looking to try a snuggy hoods headless hood for the winter under the rugs to prevent the mane rubbing away (still not quite grown it back this year and it's nearly time to start rugging up again!!!) So these have silky lining and stuff and have heard really good things about them. What does people think?

I have the turn out hood, only used it 2-3 times and he managed to break the zip on the first wear and rip it in several places

I have a turnout hood from snuggy on my cob and it does wonders, i have to say though even though its super silky and lined inside i still have to use a anti rub vest or she has rubbed shoulders, especially when she starts to loose her winter coat! Also found the one without a zip is better, just roll up and on - shes a pro at having hoods and stuff on now! Shes had hers a year and its still good, also wash it with nik-wax helps keep rain away better but found it did soak water in a few patches but nothing major

I find the snuggy hoods zips always break...I have about 10 of them and they are all the same.......I did have velcro put across a few of them and that worked OK.
