Hi all I have just taken on a lovely Welsh Sectin D mare. There are 2 shows coming up in September that will mark the end of the Summer season, I did't really want to go out and buy all new stuff - this is the outfit I wear with my cremello Welsh x connie: And this is the new mare I'm showing: I'm looking at doing Welsh 4 years and over, large M&M, best mare, driving type. Would I be able to get away with the blue trousers or get away with wearing my beige jods and either black riding boots or black toggi canyon boots?

yep beige pants not jods, and id get some decent boots with a good sole also lose the riding hat. I personally prefer waist coats in hand but its personal preference whether you hve a jacket or waist coat but make sure it's a tweed jacket. The one you have is lovely

For boots, if you get some brown joddie boots shoe repair shops can put some studs in the bottom - amazing for running in (and the welshies really move!). Outfit is ok, lighter trousers would be better but the ones you have will be fine Hat wise you would be better with a beagler type hat or even one with cream straps. Don't know how calm you D is, but I wouldn't be wonderfully comfortable showing ours without some protection for my head, don't mind taking the connie out, but the welsh can be quite hot! Looks like a really nice type, if she moves too you should do really well with her
