Just been for a walk on the park with my dog. Went right round the outside with her off the lead, she comes back no problem when shes off the lead. She'd had a nice play with a retriever and when I shouted she came back. Then we got to the home stretch but still in the middle of the park. 2 lurcher type dogs came flying over and chased her half way round the park barking ect. I had to shout to the woman to call her dogs as she was to busy talking to someone else. They completly ignored her and chased my dog off the park!!!!!!! Hers came back and mine did not!! I had to take my shoes off and run to find my dog!!! Luckily she wasn't hurt, she had crossed the road and was heading home, when I shouted she ran back to me. I put her on the lead and went back on the park, she was petrified and shaking but didn't want to leave the park on a bad note. I walked the other way to the two dogs that had just chased her then blow me they made a beeline for her agaon!!!! I just kept walking and tried to get the other dogs to go away!!
Why don't people keep their dogs on a lead if they can't call them back?? I was so upset and it's really put me off going on there now :-(
Sorry for the moan I just can't believe that she wasn't hurt on the road and would have been devastated if anything bad happened!!

There are unfortunately even more bad dog owners than bad horse owners IMHO! I came round the corner the other day to be met by neighbour walking her dogs off the lead, in the middle of the road round a blind corner. She also has an electric collar on one of them as its recall is c**p. Even with it on it still bounces in and out of my horses field grrrr and terrifies my jack russell as this other dog is large! Personally I don't believe she should walk it off the lead, but hey ho what do I know Glad yours is okay tho.
