Need some advice from anybody who has or has had a dun. I've just bought a new pony and I honestly have no idea what colours would go with her, i'm unsure weather she is a Sec A, but usure weather she's going to be shown as a plaited yet as she is pretty tiny but either way I was just wondering what colour tweeds people use on their native duns, and what browband colours people use on their plaiteds?

i think green or dark brown tweed jackets suit duns worn with emerald green, purple or burgundy ties. dont know much about plaiteds sorry !

I have just made the most beautiful chequerboard browband in chocolate brown and gold which would look fab on a dun. Otherwise, as above, burgundy, forest green, or maybe black and gold?

^ ;D My 13hh pony was a dun and I wore a brown tweed which suited him really well! My tie was navy with gold spots! I now have a 14hh dun SHP and had a pale coloured tweed, it really doesn't go well with him so have just order a new one (the same as I used to have) - hopefully it will be here before HOYS! Here is the link for the jacket: www.showingselection.com/9557_Large.htmlAnyway, I prefer darker colours - dark blue, green, burgundy, white...

Thankyou so much! Definitely thought dark would go better. I currently have a dark green tweed so will need to find my LR jockey a matching one now!
MM I love the idea of black and gold! I think she would really suit it when I think of it!

It's tricky! I preferred brown tweeds on mine , but depends so much on the shade of the dun as they vary so much (and at different times of the year too!!!) Best bet is to compare pics of different turnouts and see what you prefer...
