Can anyone advise where there is a good riding school for lessons for someone without a horse on horses that have sparkle not typical riding school horses must be in the north west.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Based in the chorley area. Looking for a few lessons to get someone back into riding who has been out of it for a number of years but has tried riding schools and the horses just seem too regemental in what they do (lack of sparkle) to actually get back into the saddle so to speak.
Any ideas welcome.

I used to have lessons (no longer ride) at Bold Heath. The two cobs I rode there were great, one little hairy spodgy cob (Choccy) was fab for jumping, the other, a hogged show cob (Brock), taught me more about flatwork/dressage than I ever thought would be possible (he also jumped but I was too much of a wuss to jump him as he didn't have a big thick mane to hang on to ). Both super ponies that I had to ride properly, as they gave me instant feedback about whether I was giving correct aids or not! Can't speak for the horses they have there now, but I loved riding those two!

Chorley Equestrian Centre - top notch instructors and plenty of horses for the more advanced rider looking for something with some get up and go. They have a website if you Google them
