Hi not sure where to put this thread as no on has replied in questions and tips? But basically im use to showing pure bred arabs, so im not sure what to wear for showing our coloured show pony. Think he will be doing the pb m and m class and coloured, but if we are lucky enough to make the evening performance, i wondered what would look nice to complement this pony. Thanks in advace xx

Thanks for your lovely comment.
I got him in january unshown, and we have had lots of fun and success in hand this season, but he is with a local producer, and hopefully he will be making his ridden debut next year, fingers crossed.

Please can I say – No Hats at the evening performance !
Hats should not be worn after 5 pm – English etiquette.
I agree with fin ‘black trousers and a white blouse, maybe with a bit of frill x
Your pony is fabulous – Good Luck ! xx

I can understand all your safety concerns, he isnt a youngster but can be a bit unpredictable. I show pure bred arabs, youngters, and hats in hand, are never worn silly really, but i just follow the rest. I always wear a hat when doing in hand training at home, and would never dream or riding without a hat. Its just personal preference not to wear a hat in hand, im probably going to get shot down

I don't wear a hat showing in hand either and i show bolshy Welshies. I was referring to the "English Etiquette" of no hats to be worn after 5pm. My choice is to not wear a hat, but to be told not to wear a hat is a bit naughty !!
