its so hard to get hold of flat tops at a reasonable price, i like the brogini boots, they start from about £160 and you can put in all your measurements, so have a proper fitting quality boot for a reasonable price, i love mine, although not entirely 'correct' i'm sure they haven't held me back and they do look very smart.

LOVE the ariat riding boots - suede on inside leg, zip up back - not sure what they're called
On my 5th pair - so comfy and so smart

Personally I think the sarm hippique ones are very smart and flattering although they aren't the cheapest but they are worth the money

The Ariat Bromont's are nice, most of my dressagey friends have them as everyday boots as they're so comfortable and scrub up well enough for competing in too. They're not the most correct for showing though with the suede on the inside, the elastic laces and metal spur rests. But they are in my non showing opinion a very very nice boot.
I have a pair of Sarm Hippique's, they're stunning, very comfortable and come upto a beautiful shine. They do have dressage tops though, which isn't very correct. But I've never been held back by them in the show ring. Even better as I got them at a bargain price on ebay, brand new at less than a 1/4 of the rrp, due to my funny feet and leg size.
Cavallo do a flat topped boot I believe.

I show in mine, you can hardly see the suede on the inside of the leg and I doubt what boot the jockey is wearing will affect the placing. I competed at a breed show earlier this year and everyone in my workers classes had the boots on, minus a few! We all looked similar on bay ponies, tweeds and the same ariats!

I show in mine too and its never been mentioned - and I've seen plenty of people in them this season, as well as two producers. I think their comfort speaks for themselves and as you say, they are smart
