We will be doing NCPA qualifiers for the first time this year - could someone explain what membership we need please? Do we need to become members in order to qualify or can we join after if we are lucky enough to get a ticket? Does the pony have to be registered with NCPA to compete at the POYS or only if you want to do the 'NCPA registered' classes'? I own the ponies but daughter rides them - do we both need to be Adult members? Thank you

dancer - You do not need to be a member in order to qualify, you only need to join in order to compete at POYS (but obviously there are other advantages to membership) Animal registration is for life (not annual) but you only need to register to do NCPA registered classes, points scheme, or win register rosettes. From 2013 your rider will need to be a member, but they can be part of a family membership at one address for mailing. This is cheaper than 2 adult memberships but only allows 1 vote at AGM & the like, whereas 2 single memberships have 2 votes. Hope this helps. Not on computer tomorrow (Monday) but please email, leave message etc if you need more info - see www.thencpa.co.ukMembership runs 1st January to 31st December
