Can anyone tell me if I'll be allowed to take and park an empty horsebox?
Im going the day before my class, have a hotel booked, but not booked a stable or passes for that day (pony going with producer who's sorting the stable), but I'd like my lorry to go as Im bringing the pony home from HOYS for the winter!
Will I be allowed in to park it or is there a charge / pass needed?

i phoned them to ask the same question.. They said they will not sell any extra horsebox passes unless the lorry is bringing horses! They said under no circumstances will an empty lorry be allowed on the showground. But i am also aware of other people who have got additional passes so i would call and explain, worth a try!

There is a car park next to the train station which always seem to have horseboxes parked overnight on it.

Hmmm thanks for the replies, I think to be on the safe side we'll travel by car, let the pony go home with producer and collect from there the following day! I dont fancy being stranded in a horsebox with no where to park it! Annoying though!

When I went yesterday there were a couple of boxes in the main car park, but they were only 3.5tons? xx
