We have two, well that was until last thursday NOW WE HAVE SEVEN five beautiful multicolour country russel puppies - they are so cute and all want lovely lorry dog homes in the fresh air. I had a russel if truth be known as it was the only type of small dog I could afford after paying out for horsey stuff, and now I wouldnt want anything different.

i have a lovely little jack Russel, he spent his first 3 weeks living on the horse box when we first got him (NPS, PUK and BSPS) and thought that was his home, was a disappointment to him when he realized he actually lived in a house!! but hes always the first one on the lorry on show days!!

our little black an white jr 'maggie' loves coming out in the wagon, if she had a choice i think she would live in there. if we ever have to leave her behind she wont eat or do anything that my dad asks. she is the most UN-obedient dog ever but once in the lorry she becomes the model dog who does anything you tell her. there isnt a day goes by where one of our jr makes us laugh by being naughty

Mandymoo - how can you say that a JR isnt a proper dog? My JR thinks he is a big dog anyway and i am certainly not going to tell him any different hahaha.... I have always had JR's with some other breeds thrown in for good measure. Irish setters, springer spainels etc...

It's not safe to start the lorry around here as the two JRT's get so wound up. They fall up the steps in their rush to get in usually and then you can't get them out again.
We also have a kitten who goes in the lorry with us as she was hand reared at the end of last season, so had to come to shows as well. She also enjoyed a trip to Fayre Oaks sales. We're not sure how we'll manage this year as she screams if left in the house on her own when the dogs go out!!

Im really thinking our jrt could do with a friend as she is our only dog and loves to play and cause mayhem so think she may be a lot happier with another dog to wear her out. Any ideas on a smallish dog she may get on with, have to say she absolutely hates any other JRTs and anything that doesnt like to play rough.

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his Tongue.

my pal has a jack R (he is yard manager) and a Daxy (completely nuts)... they make great lorry dogs unlike my gang of irish setters who definately dont... far too posh to slum it in a lorry dont ya know.... LOL
