Need a new double for Riding Horse classes - can anyone recommend a "brand" that's excellent quality but "plain" enough for the show ring? He's a Riding Horse so I prefer a flat noseband but not concerned about the browband as he wears a coloured one in the ring. So far I've seen a Stubben I like, but had Sabre recommended as well.
Thanks in advance!

Jeffries is one of the best makes, you can usually chose the style, it often coes without a noseband then you add the one that you want for your horse

Jeffries' bridles can be made up as they sell all parts separately so you only buy what you want. Look on Rideaway's website.

I love my Jeffries and Risley saddlery bridles but am not overkeen on either my fylde or sabre ones.
I looked at the stubben ones recently and they looked lovely but the cheeks weren't wide enough for my hunter who I needed one for. For a riding horse they would look lovely though.

oakfield do their own bridles which are great , you can buy various head and cheek sets, then whatever width noseband and reins you like, great price too

I've got a FS Jefferies havana cavesson bridle for sale - just add a slip head and you've got a double bridle . It's only been used for showing and is in superb condition .I would take £50 plus p+p ( currently retailing for £90 + new).

I have Flyde hunter bridles for both our traditional cob and clydesdale. Super quality and they look great, plain and simple. Best of all is that I could choose the reins I wanted and also had a combination of two sizes to get the bridles to fit correctly as both have short but wide heads.
Flyde were happy to send me cheek pieces in both cob/full and full/extra full so I could send back what I didn't need when getting a perfect fit.

I get my bridles from Gerry Reynolds www.grsaddlery.co.uk/ He does riding horse, hack, hunter as you want them and will also sell separate pieces.
