How can I deal with my daughters naughty pony. Perky section A. at home is as good a gold. when out it Knapp's and gets strong
Its currently ridden in a fulmer to give my daughter steering.
My daughter isn't strong enough to make it do. so she just lets it dribble about and get its own way.
Is there anything that I can do. to help her. ??
We took it out yesterday SJ and it was very Knappy to wards our other pony and would not behave if not standing beside it.
I have been lunging it to get used to voice commands

Have you got an older, more experienced jockey who could help? Sounds like it is using your other pony for confidence, a firmer rider would pass the confidence through to the pony. Sounds like he may just have got away with it for too long and needs a bit of confident handling.
When at the show, move him away from the other pony when warming up and give him plenty to think about, so he is concentrating on the job before he goes in the ring. When hacking out take turns to go in the lead, don't just let him follow behind the other pony. And perhaps he could be worked on his own at home. Firm handling and lots of praise when he does the right thing.

Try snapping his mouth shut with a flash or a drop noseband.

Have you tried taking him out somewhere without the other pony? He might be better if he knows it's not around! Good luck

Thanks for all the tips. I will give them a go. I have so far changed her bit to a wilkie to offer more brakes. and commenced long reining her. She has been split from her friends but still can see other horses. Luke3, I have taken her out on her own and she behaves well. But the other pony generally has to come as it for the other daughter, Well time will tell. I am now looking for a strong little rider to have a word with the minxy pony. Thanks again

Definaly worth egtting a more exp/stronger rider to take it out a bit so it gets the measure of what it can/cant do!
