Being able to go and support a friend who you know has got there through sheer hard work, blood, sweat and tears and bucketloads of determination! And through their own merit and not off the back of faces or favours.

Totally agree MM! That's what I intend on doing and I'm just finishing off her good luck banner Also the general excitement that surrounds it and the build up - my favourite is clapping along to the music!

For me, last year, going for the first time, it was when we pulled up and the vet had to come on board and check him etc. It really hit me then and I think I welled up with pride! I know, I am so sad! I literally can't sleep at the minute waiting to go again this year!

The best thing for me is qualifing, however, having been lucky enough to win at HOYS twice the feeling of winning and the centre line ... There is no other feeling like it.. And I remember the times like it was yesterday!!

Being able to go and support a friend who you know has got there through sheer hard work, blood, sweat and tears and bucketloads of determination! And through their own merit and not off the back of faces or favours. I was going to say the free flowing champagne, now I feel shallow, lol!!! As a competitor, it was all special, every minute, it was the best day of my lfe. I still look at my rossettes every single day (they are on display) The most amazing thing though was that my parents and sister came to watch (they don't know one end from the other) and loved it too. It made my day that they came to watch. My Mum cried when I got called forward for my placing and my Dad cried at the bill at the champagne bar (spot the recurring theme..) As a spectator, spending time with friends (usually at the champagne bar..) and clapping along to the lap of honour music with a big smile on your face!

Watching my daughter at her second HOYs, (the first year I was too nervous to enjoy it)! The moment after one lap of the go round when I could be confident that her pony wasn't going to freak out! Most of all I loved the atmosphere of the early morning session, the opportunity to meet friends who had also qualified. This was 2008, the warm up for the M&M FR class [a href=" "][/a][/url]

Coming off the M42 down the hill and realising - this is IT. And the worst part - driving back up the hill, end of the season
