so called coblets are doing well at the minute, one won supreme at north west champs last year, not sure they would do as well at county level as they would be dwarfed by the full up cobs

You would almost certainly struggle against the full up show cobs at the higher levels, I'm afraid - size still matters at that level, no matter how much we might wish otherwise

I have a coloured coblet who done very well I'n the chaps classes and has held his own in the proper cob classes before his retirement from showing,i found it difficult to find classes for him other than chaps classes(I'm I'n Scotland)and there's not many shows with working cob classes so i jump I'n the open horse classes and even though he could out jump horses twice his size we would never do aswell as we should because he 'wasn't a proper working hunter'as one judge once told me! But i wouldn't swap my coblet for the world

A lot of shows are now holding coblet classes, not sure how well supported they are but agree 14.2 would looked tiny against some of the larger cobs
