I have bought two bridles off e- bay now, resold one as although it was supposedly a small pony bridle, it was not! did not even bother trying it on. Have just got second one, might try it on but not hopefull. He has such a tiny head, should I go for Shetland show bridle. I Am going to save up for next year to get him a fylde, is that my best bet??

Fylde small pony bridle is what I had to buy, Shetland bridles didn't fit very well so I decided to go for Fylde. My Dartie has such a dainty head compared to my standard Shetland!

Have a look at oakfield saddlery. I have got all my tiny bridles from there at half the cost of fylde. I buy Shetland size, for my a and dartmoor. They are English and hav lasted about 6 years up to now!

Definitely Fylde small pony bridle. Fits my section A with a small head&tiny ears and my my section B with a dainty head really well, very high quality and well made, wouldn't buy any other, not overly expensive either.

Definitely NOT a shetland bridle - too big through the throat! Actually also had same probs with Jeffries and sabre small pony... I've had the best results by either made to measure by local saddler (fab quality!), or by having him adjust the other makes mentioned to fit... It's so difficult to set off a small head well!!! Good Luck!!!

Risley saddlery put mine together, I took the one I was using to measure against, it looks lovely. Our Shetland has a massive head, and wears a cob head collar. I'm always scared of buying stuff on eBay that says Shetland size I'm not sure what it means? She also wears a 5ft rug!

Our Welsh A who has a dainty head with tiny ears wears a Shetland bridle from Heritage Saddlery, while our Shetland pony wears an Oakfield pony bridle....
