Maisie is for sale through absolutely no fault of her own - I've just got married and I simply can't afford to move her down south (she is in Aberfeldy,Perthshire, I'm just north of London!). She's ready to be started this winter, and desperate to get out and about, so I just don't feel it's fair that she's standing on a hill doing nothing.
Lives outside all year round, with medium weight rug when the weather gets bad. Has been stabled. Great with vet, farrier, she travelled down to us as a weanling from Kyle of Lochalsh, not an issue then but she hasn't been travelled again. Takes everything in her stride though, so I don't imagine it would be an issue! Great to catch.
She has amazing paces, nothing phases her, she can also jump. (she jumped a 5 bar gate as a yearling for food ). She is a chunky girl, would probably do small hunter as she matures. Will excel eventing or dressage. I had hoped to event her and do some endurance with her as well as play.
She is practically untouched ridden wise - she has had a bridle and saddle on and my light 12yr old sister has sat on her, which she didn't bat an eyelid too, but otherwise hasn't done anything. I was hoping to back her this summer passed, but whilst mentally mature she was going through a gangly growing phase, so I've left her with the plan to back the end of this winter. I've no up to date photos of her - she is a hairy muddy monster right now, but she scrubs up beautifully when she's pulled and trimmed.
Home is far more important than price for this special girl, it's devastating to have to sell her, but I could buy a horse down here for the price it will cost me to transport her down, and OH has almost died at the cost of livery
If you're interested, please contact me and I shall speak to family members to get photos
