In the three years we have had George, we have noticed he eats to us anyway, some very odd things. Apart from the usual mice, rabbits and birds and lots of bugs (especially grasshoppers and crickets), he likes - green olives in brine with any stuffing removed are his faves, highly spiced meat off the barbeque is another, and lately he has taken to eating huge amounts of the brown wholegrain bread we feed the shetland, even this week going so far as to steal chunks of it out of the bucket when Morph is eating it! He also eats strong cheese and polished off a chunk of Stilton I gave him yesterday. He only eats fish flavoured cat crunch, wont touch wet cat food at all, but wont eat freshly cooked fish Anyone elses cat have any gourmet tastes or is he just trying to educate his palate his own way?

Mine used to like ice cream, rice pudding and custard. Oh and once stole two pieces of wedding cake when we came in late (a little worse for wear!) and left them on the table. She just left us the marzipan and icing!
I once gave the yard cat a prawn (I was dieting at the time!) and he looked at me like I was mad! His favourites were bean toasties and salt and vinegar crisps.

Milo loves crisps. He crunches them up and goes mad when he hears the bag opening and appears from wherever he has been playing snake in the grass !!

I think I have the fussiest cat in the world! When I first got her, nearly a year ago now, she was about to be abandoned in the woods so to spoil her and welcome her into her new home, I gave her Whiskas pouches, BIG mistake. I have finally weaned her off these and onto the Tesco pouches, although she will only eat chicken flavour ones, and she also eats the Whiskas chicken complete dry food. Apart from that she wont touch another thing! Although it has to be said I have never offered her anything off my plate as I dont want to encourage her to beg/steal.

Grass snakes, rabbits, young pheasants, oh yes my three cats are proper little Rambo's. Thomas Big Fat Black Cat can also polish off a mean chicken vindaloo and LooLoo caught a hare that was bigger than herself and took it through next doors cat flap and put it in their bath....they are strict hippy type vegans too! They always leave lots of presents on the drive in the mornings, the strangest was a whole peppered mackerel!

With reply to the fussy cat, my cat too is ssoooooo fussy! She was a stray-we rescued her from the rspca- and thought she'd be grateful of anything but constantly turns her nose up at the range of food I put down! She wont eat meat, only biscuits and screams at us if its a minute late-typical moggie eh?! She also insists of drinking out of the sink!

One of my acts goes mad for raw mushrooms. Do you think they crave these things becasue there is something in them that they need?
