Can anyone recommend some good quality rugs?
I am searching for a make of rug that will suit my ponies, most rugs other than the Cuddly Pony range sit wrong on the neck and we usually have to put a dart in to sit the rug up off the front of the pony.
I pref wanted rugs with internal silky linnings that will fit small sizes from weanling section A's upwards.
I have got a range of rugs that I am outing and wanted to buy a whole new range therefore wanted to do my research before I go out and buy so many.

I loved the Cuddly Ponies range, they were popular so not sure why they done away with them. The Cottage Craft pony range are a good fit and I thought very similar to Cuddly pony rugs. I use Amigo, Rhino and Rambo just now for my two Natives and I have to say they fit very well. The Rambo was an expensive rug (got it brand new on Ebay for less than half price) but it fits my Dartmoor great!

I have no idea why they discontinued them either, one of the only brands that cater for a smaller pony.

When we had a local outlet we invested in Derby house ones for ours ( assortment of standard shetlands, sec A's, SHP and SP under 12.2) We took advantage of their offers and some including turnouts are now into their 3rd year. They seem to be a good fit on necks etc and bodies do not reach their knees! Must admit since they are only on line I havnt ordered anything as I do like to look at sizes etc but would certainly recommend them for value and good fit.

The IV Horse rugs are a great fit on our small ponies - do they still do them? They last well too, ours are into third or fourth years. Other than than I've found Amigo rugs are nice and snug around the neck. I used to get rugs from Derby House during their sales, but the latest DH rug I bought for our baby C would have fitted around an elephant's neck! I know he's a bit puny at the moment as he's only 2, but it was way too big for our 6yo C as well.

The linning is partly what I am struggling with, I dont like the cotton linning as it rubs their coats, what was the linning on those suggested above. I think the cottage craft come up with a cotton linning

I didn't realise they had stopped making the Cuddly Ponies range - such a shame. I always found them ideal if we had a really wet winter and had to rug up youngstock to prevent rain scald.
