God how I hate them. We had one pony buck the rider off when a photographer ran into the ring, swinging the rope as he did so. The rope caught the pony behind the hocks. Another time, I was recovering from an eye operation and the photographer kept taking flash shots (indoors) from close range. When I asked him not to, he did it all the more. However, Mr Actionshots on his way to Swallowfield yesterday takes the prize for teh worst photographer experience ever. He stopped to ask the way becasue he was lost (I live near Swallowfield) and was so incredibly rude that I in fact just told him the way. I wish I had been prepared and told him the completely wrong way. Photographers are there at the invitation of the show and should treat competitors with respect.

i had one asking me to do the initial trot-up from another corner as it was bad for their light where I was asking people to do it. As she has always taken the most abyssmal photos of my animals in the past I said, no, it did'nt suit me as the judge!! I dont mind them coming in the ring, but when they start telling ME how they want it run, or get under the feet, its time for them to leave.

to be honest i'm terriable as photo mad love buying them! but can see why others might not like it, thing is if we won Champion that day and there isnt a photographer always disapointing to not have anything to show people of the day that was so special and how fab your horse looked. they also travel a long way and desperately need to make at minumim there travel costs suprisingly they sometimes are at the show for the whole day starting 8.30 (not including what time they got out of bed) and are they in the weather no matter what and under prssure to get the sales of photos.
I always get on well with them prob cause easy target as buy a phto nearly allways unless its poor quality.
Dont think they mean any harm most are enjoying the day as much as everyone else cause lets face it on the days the shows have poor attendance they loose out big time.
