of turnout rug do you reccomend for smaller chested ponies? Little pony of mine is 14hhish! (mabey bigger now her bum is massive and high lol) but her chest is quite narrow...her rug she has on atm is too big and if she was that type - she could easily wriggle out! Any makes which fit better ? thinking more TB type rugs? turnouts - med-heavy? Thanks

thank you any links where i can get one without being ripped off? Spend a month away from horses and suddenly realising how expensive these rugs are already lol (pony is on full livery elsewhere for now)

I like weatherbeeta's they're not too wide. Steer clear of Masta's they have huge necks and won't fit anything but chunky cobs.

We bought two Derby House heavyweight NZ for our two 15hh tb x - I wouldnt say they are very narrow chested but normal width, however there is the option on the rugs to tighten up the front, not only with straps, but also with buckles. Even in this weather, they are toasty warm. The neckcover that comes with it however, is not much use! It blows up in the wind and there is a gap between the chest and neck. I would definitely recommend the rugs though!

i have a lot of derby house rugs as they have clips on the front so you can make smaller if you want it a better fit across the front, i have had no problem fitting a 13hh narrow british riding pony.

Amigo work well for smaller chested ponies, I had to give my one to a friend with smaller chested pony as it didn't fit mine! Fits him fabulous though and they are great quality.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards
