Something that just annoys me. Every so often it happens and every time it gets a little bit more annoying. Log onto Facebook, check the messages...
"Hi will u draw my pony for me here is the pic I want done"
So how are you going to pay?
"I dnt have any money now but I would love a drawing of my pony wld u plz do me one"
So, ignore said message and a week later..
"Hi how's my pic goin can u put it on fb plz"
Again, ignore it..
"Can u hurry up with my drawing plz"
Oh my god I want to pull my hair out!! I'm a student but for goodness sake, the commission money is the only money I have time to earn. The urge to name and shame every single one of them is so strong but I can't bring myself to do it. I find it so insulting- yon I'm not an artist by trade by I'm also not a free service! URGHJKLMNBRURGH
Rant over.

Good for you, stick to your guns! I'm a bit of a walk over and do all sorts of things for people, going out of my way. I found out recently, when I was ill, that those same folks don't generally return the favour. I am learning, sadly. If your drawings are good enough to sell, thats fab and I hope they are successful!

Why don't you tell them straight instead of ignoring them, they may get the message then hopefully. No money no drawing :-)

I'd get my 3yo grand daughter to do a crayon drawing of 'A Horsey ' and send them that . Tell them it's a post modernistic semi abstract image in the 'naive' school style .

That would keep them quiet for a while. Just put it bluntly, the amount of time and effort it takes to to a drawing, it's just not possible to do it for free. Send them maybe a price list, that should get the message through. Some people definitely expect way too much, and think others are superhuman!!

The cheek! Your art is truly amazing Charlotte I wouldn't pay anything but a good amount for one of your drawings!
