Am thinking about buying one but was wondering if anyone has one and would they recommend it. Also are there any other companies selling them.

Watch bank - I think you'll find that we set it up according to the instructions (which were rubbish by the way) and we had already washed a horse successfully before starting on the second one when it caught. It was genuinely the most frightening thing in my life. Fire +stable block of liveries = very scary. I had already complained after using it the first time as the water leaked out and then when it caught fire that was the end of it. After lots of complaining and asking for a refund I eventually got sent a brand new one that was completely set up. I couldn't bring myself to use one ever again so put it on eBay and sold it yesterday for £150 (bought it for £179) with my first cheque from H&H. Never again. I'm sure people use theirs successfully but I could never do it again - its not just me who has had problems.

Others have used it fine, others have had problems. I'm glad I got some money back from a product that I thought be wonderful but ended up being rubbish.

Well I admit we put the washer in the wrong place and it caught fire for all of about 5 seconds when we tested it. Sh*t myself I can tell you. Re read the instructions and put the washer int he right place and also used that tape stuff on all the water pipes so no leaks. Never had any bother fropm it since. IT'S FAB, we all love it. If your only getting luke warm water then reduce the pressure for a little bit i.e half press the spray nozzle till it warms up. Once it's hot, be careful cos it does get very hot quite quick.

The one we bought caught fire too, was a bit of a job getting a replacement and we eventually spoke to the manufacturer NOT the supplier who said hed had loads of complaints via supplier because it simply wasnt suitable!! We exchanged [with extra cash] for a more powerful one which is fine ...so go for the bigger one....its to do with the hose length. Have since bought another make far cheaper and more powerful with digital temp readout yet to test it tho......will report back forthwith!!

In what way do you mean it's to do with the hose length? Is it better if it's longer or shorter?
I have to say the service from showerKing is excellent. I am having my second one picked up on Monday to see if they can identify the problem. Really really helpful lady

we use a numed one which is a bike washer but it's not painful for the horse at all, it's around 200 brand new we got ours of ebay 150, they are fab. Ours isnt a hot horse one but if you get some standard like tubs you'd take water to shows in and fill them with hot water, just pop it in and off you go makes a huge difference, also they are not really loud and can just make the horses jump at first but both of mine settled fine and it's fab if your on the move!

We've had some issues with it suddenly going hot or cold, but I've always just felt it's been teething problems. The gas ran out at the weekend but that's a whole season it's lasted so definitely cheaper (and easier) than me lugging hot water containers around.

I really wanted one but after borrowing a friends I'm not sure now, maybe we hadnt set it up properly as it didn't have much pressure and we couldn't get the temp to stay right it was red hot one minute and then cold. So now very undecided wether I would part with my money for one.

I got a "Hot Horse Shower " for Xmas last year. The instructions to set it up were useless. My OH managed to put it together (its the best one on a trolley) but the water is very luke warm, never hot enough & goes warm then cold quite frequently. Sometimes it won't ignite at all & with plenty of gas in the bottle so no problem there. Rang the lady for some better instructions & wanted to know if I was doing something wrong but she never answers the phone. Does anybody know of a better make that works properly??
