OMG how could people let these helpless horses get into this state, but wow how good do they look after a lot of TLC. x

The Egyptian people are so poor and they make their living from the horses - less tourists = less work and unfortunately the horses suffer for it. It's also a lack of education, which this group also works on. They hold clinics and more and more people are bringing their horses to them Voluntarily for treatment. They do such an amazing job for such a small group!

They do such an amazing job for such a small group! I follow them on fbook too, they do great work but I also think one of their best aspects is their understanding of the culture in Egypt. They are non-judgemental, and actually reply positively to posts to help us to understand more... Eg, as westerners we are appalled at the state of some of the horses, but they explain that the horses owners & children are often in the same state! The horses may be their sole source of income and by handing them over they are being very responsible often to their own detriment. It's a hard life for all of them, human and horse alike! From what I have seen they deserve all the support they can get!!
