Hi everyone sorry mods if its in the wrong place Right here goes , I have a miniature crested drake who is in his pen with two other ducks these are call duck crosses , two drakes and one duck but the miniature has always been boss I went to let them into their pond today and the miniature crested seems to have dropped weight and isant intrested in leaving his house I have cleaned the house out and put some fresh hay and straw in cleaned waters and put feed in as well as a few handfuls of grass he's eaten some grass but not alot. Also he was filthy like he hasn't been in the water the other two look healthy and fat , I washed the mini crested off with some water and put him back in his pen but he's not himself
Any ideas what to do of what's wrong with him he's not sneezing or shaking???

It sounds like he is being bullied by the other drake Sometimes even if they have been friends things change!!! I would seperate them and try and feed him up. Maybe worm him too

We used a wormer called flubenvet on our chickens. Maybe ring a vet to check if its suited for ducks as it says for poultry in the leaflet. It was effective in deworming our chickens when they seemed under the weather. You can now buy it in small quantities from vets, it used to be in commercial sizes only! Hope ducky is better soon x

'Yes .How many do you want ?' asked the receptionist 'Six , please .' 'Is that six hundred or six thousand ?' 'Erm .No . Just six .' I thought she was going to wet herself .

We had precisely the same problem Flee until last year!! Andrew Mellings were also very understanding when we rang about our chicken who swallowed a rubber band dropped by the postman.....
