I have a collie that was bred for sheep too, although she's never seen sheep!

I have an 18 month old collie that could really do with pointing in the right direction ! although she has got a bit better x

Lovely dogs our collie isant trained as such to herd sheep but does have fun herding ponies ducks and my geese x

Ahhh they are lovely. My fantastic Robbie was a collie but he was killed on the road on 10th December. Riding isn't the same without him. Still grieving, but it was so nice seeing your collies.
My last dog rounded up a whole herd from the field behind us as they were supposed to be in the field on the other side of the road. Obviously the grass was greener in our field as the farmer and his son had no luck moving them. My old Tom watched for a few minutes then dashed off and got them all through the gap in double quick time. As far as I know, that was the only time he ever got near a sheep, but he was amazing, my neighbour said she would never have believed me if she hadn't seen it herself.
They are wonderful dogs, as long as they are not bored.
